La Llombaiada
In the past, during Easter, the tradition —at least for the people from the nearest villages such as Benissili and Alpatró— was to go to eat the cake called the Easter “mona” in Llombai. Boys and girls took the opportunity to slide down one of the slopes by sitting on a sack used for storing carob pods.
A few years ago, with the intention of honouring this tradition, the local government of La Vall de Gallinera sought to rekindle this festival of popular culture and organised the Llombaiada, offering snacks and music for all.
