TURIST VIEWPOINT
El Coll de Benissili
It is a mountain pass located at the boundary marker which indicates where the Planes area begins. This is where the watershed changes. In other words, the water that falls to the west ends up in the L’Encantada ravine and the Serpis River, while the water that falls to the east goes to the Gallinera River. Located next to the CV-700 road, it is a good place to enjoy the views from the top of the valley towards the sea and inland towards the enclosure of L’Encantada. It is not conditioned with protectors and does not have an information panel. It is located at a crossroads, but the area is wide enough to stop and get out of the car.
The La Garriga viewpoint
A very interesting place due to its strategic position, near Alpatró. It gives us a point of view from within the valley, looking towards the east. The surrounding area is a good example of a leafy vegetation mass which consists of Valencian oak (also called Portuguese oak in English), manna ash and terebinth, mixed with holm oaks and laurustine. Nearby is the spot called La Garriga and a fossil beach. It is located right next to the CV-700 road, on the section between La Carroja and Alpatró. The viewpoint is conditioned with protectors and an information panel.
The Xap viewpoint
Located on the slopes of El Xap, in the middle of the Sierra Foradada mountain range, this viewpoint allows for a perspective that covers the whole valley, as well as the L’Albureca, L’Almirant and La Safor mountains. It is possible to see the villages and the mosaic of crops and wild vegetation. This is a place to stop off before and after visiting La Vall de Gallinera; beforehand because it gives a good perspective of what one is about to see inside the valley, and afterwards because it brings back memories of what was seen during the visit. It is located between Benialí and Benissivà, and it is accessed by way of a paved forest track, indicated at the entrance to the village of Benissivà. It is conditioned with protectors and an information panel.
